Nov. 3, 2011 New Canon C300 Announced

Canon announced 4k camera to be available in early 2012, priced in the range of 20k. It looks like a contender against the Red Scarlet.

DSLR video will likely to still be around due the affordable pricing, making it a different market at under 2.5k.
